I've been lucky to create credit repair content and earn a very high RPM with Youtube Adsense.

3. Become A Digital Creator

As a digital creator, you can expand into different social media platforms and work for yourself or with other businesses that need content creators.

Let's review some good business ideas for digital content creation. You can take any of these digital marketing skills and apply them to multiple small businesses.

Start A TikTok Account

Posting on Tiktok can lead to many small businesses wanting to hire you as a full-time creator or for one-off projects. You can also monetize your account through Tiktok's partner program and brand deals.

Start An Instagram Account

Instagram is an excellent platform for short-form content and getting new eyeballs on your products or services. Work with brands as an influencer, sell your own merchandise, and use Instagram Stories for promotions and affiliate marketing.

Start A Pinterest Account

Pinterest is a search engine that allows users to save pins related to their interests, making it the perfect platform for businesses in the creative or lifestyle industries. Create visually appealing pins to drive traffic to your website or your own online store.

Publish YouTube Shorts

Youtube shorts are becoming a very popular source of traffic for any online business show that wants to grow its youtube channel. If you learn how to master this, you can help a small business grow without paid traffic.

4. Freelance Writing Business

Becoming a freelance writer as a business idea can offer the flexibility to work from home and earn a great income. You can specialize in various industries or write for various businesses, websites, and blogs.

I've personally hired many freelance SEO writers for my own blog and partner projects and have seen how profitable this business can be.

My Best Freelance Writing Resources:

5. SEO

Doing SEO for other webmasters is probably one of the best business ideas since organic traffic from Google is highly valuable. You can start a small agency or work freelance and help businesses improve their search rankings, driving more traffic and potential sales to their websites. Let's review some of the lucrative business categories within SEO.

SEO Audits

Performing SEO audits for other bloggers is in high demand due to many new sites not knowing where to begin with their search engine optimization.

As an SEO audit expert, you can offer a one-time review or ongoing monthly services to help businesses improve their search rankings and drive more organic traffic.

Link-Building

Are you good at getting backlinks or understand email outreach? Offer your link-building services to businesses needing to build up their off-page SEO. This can also include creating killer content that will naturally attract links.

One of my friends makes over 10,000 per month doing link-building packages, and I know it can be scaled to even higher income with the right systems in place.

Content Writing

Good at writing? Start a content writing business and offer your services to businesses in need of high-quality blog posts, articles, and website copy. You can specialize in a specific niche or take on a variety of industries.

On-Page SEO

Start on-page for your own website and show off your knowledge by offering on-page optimization services for small businesses. This can include keyword research, meta descriptions, header tags, and more.

You can use Surfer SEO to help you with the content brief and semantic keyword research to make your job easier and more efficient.

My Best SEO Resources:

6. Graphic Design

Starting in graphic design is a very relaxed business idea for those who are into design. You can start small by offering to design logos for local businesses and eventually scale up to designing for larger companies as you build your portfolio.

I've seen many designers grow their portfolios by using platforms like TikTok to showcase their design skills to potential clients.

7. Consulting

Starting a consulting business can lead you to many different industries and niches, giving you the freedom to choose what you specialize in. Offer your expertise and knowledge to businesses needing guidance in various areas such as marketing, business finances, HR, or operations.

What I love about consulting is you can either do a client in your own home or work at a physical location and focus on various industries or niches within the consulting world.

8. Social Media Manager

Working as a social manager has to be on our list of great business ideas, as social media is only growing in importance for businesses. Offer your services to manage various social platforms for small businesses or even larger companies.

You can specialize in specific platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn or offer a full-service management package for all their accounts.

Many small business owners don't know how to grow their social accounts, and that's where you can help with your social media strategy.

9. Copywriting

Providing copywriting services for others is probably something everyone should even if it's for your own benefit. You can charge a lot of money for good copywriting skills and sell your services to businesses needing compelling copy for their website, email campaigns, or advertising.

If you need help with copywriting, you can use an ai copywriting tool like Jasper AI to help you with the initial writing to save time and edit as necessary.

10. Sales Funnel Agency

Did you know you can create sales funnels for other businesses? Offering to build out sales funnels for online and offline businesses can be a great way to make some extra income and help them increase their revenue.

You can specialize in specific industries or offer funnel services for any business. And with systems like Clickfunnels or Karta, creating funnels has never been easier. Plus, they provide training and support for their platform to help you succeed.

11. Course Creator

Selling online courses is a great business idea if you have something to teach. You can offer courses in various niches, including business, personal development, and even specific graphic design or coding skills.

You can use platforms like Teachable or Thinkific to host your course and make it available for purchase by your audience. This is a great way to monetize your knowledge and expertise while providing value to others.

I personally think selling courses is one of the best business models and gives you the freedom to work from anywhere and the potential for passive income.

12. Streamer

As a streamer, you can work your own hours and make money by entertaining and connecting with viewers on platforms like Twitch or YouTube. This is one of the more unique business ideas as you can specialize in various gaming categories or even general entertainment.

But starting out as a streamer can be tough, as building an audience takes time and consistency. You also have to be able to handle the potential criticism from viewers and keep up with new streaming technology and platforms. But it can be a fun and profitable business venture for those passionate about gaming or entertaining.

13. Dropshipping

Stepping into the e-commerce industry, starting a dropshipping business can be a great option for those looking to sell products without having to deal with inventory or shipping.

You can partner with a supplier and list their products on your website or marketplaces such as Amazon or eBay. When an order is placed, the supplier will ship directly to the customer and you handle the marketing and customer service aspect.

This business idea does require some upfront investment for a website and marketing but can be profitable with the right strategy and effort.

14. Dropservicing

Like dropshipping, you can outsource services for others and take a commission on the sale. This can be anything from content writing, virtual assistant services, or even video editing.

You can list your services on marketplaces like Fiverr or use a platform like Upwork to connect with clients and handle the project management. This is also a great business idea for those looking for flexible and remote work.

15. Sell Digital Products

If you can start to sell products online, why not start creating and selling your own? Digital products can include ebooks, courses, printables, and design templates. This is a great way to make some passive income as you continue to sell the same product repeatedly.

You can use platforms like Samcart or Etsy to list and sell your products to an audience who may be looking for something specific. And with the rise of the digital marketplace, there is definitely a demand for these types of products, and they can be profitable if done right.

16. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing was my successful business idea as it allowed me to make a consistent income from home and could be scaled over time.

As an affiliate marketer, you promote products or services for a company and receive a commission on any sales made. This can be done through your own blog or social media channels, and many companies with affiliate programs are available to join.

Finding the right products or services that align with your audience and provide value is important. But done correctly, affiliate marketing can be a great way to make a steady income from home.

Affiliate Marketing Resources:

17. Memberships

Closely related to selling online courses, you can create a monthly membership program with exclusive content or community for your audience. This can be a subscription box, an exclusive Facebook group, or 1:1 coaching.

This business model does require consistently providing value to keep members engaged and willing to continue their membership. But it can also provide reliable and recurring income for your business.

18. Credit Repair

Starting a credit repair business allows you to help fix other people's credit scores by disputing with the creditor or collection agencies using the FCRA Laws.

What makes this business idea great is that you can get paid on a monthly recurring basis for each client that you sign up and most of the work takes only about 1 hour a month per client.

I started my own credit repair business at the beginning of 2020 and thankfully, I was able to leave my 9-5 job within a few months.

Credit Repair Cloud Payments I Received

With credit repair becoming a hot topic, starting a credit repair business can be a lucrative option for those knowledgeable in the industry and able to provide valuable services to clients.

You can offer DIY resources or personalized one-on-one coaching to help individuals improve their credit scores. This may require some initial investment for marketing and writing a business plan, but can bring in a steady stream of clients looking for help.

Starting a credit repair business has many pros, but some cons as well.

Pros:

  • Credit repair is very profitable.
  • Earn recurring revenue.
  • Help others get out of financial stress.
  • Very easy business to automate.
  • Make $2000-$5000 within a few months.

Cons:

  • Need to learn sales.
  • Need at least $500-$1000 to start.
  • A lot of regulations because of bad apples.
  • Labore suspendisse ultrices

When I first started my credit repair business I took the Credit Hero Challenge that allowed me to get my training and dispute certifications online.

Although starting a credit repair company can have some high upfront costs, you can always leverage credit repair software which can help automate the boring tasks like admin work.

Just make sure that you still take care of all your clients and referrals.

Build Websites

Whether its WordPress, Ghost, Webflow or Wix, there is a high demand for websites in the online world. Offering web design services can be a profitable business idea for individuals or businesses who may not have the time or skillset to build their own website.

You can specialize in certain industries or offer customizable templates for those looking for a simple and professional website solution. And as you continue to build a portfolio and gain clients, this can become a lucrative and in-demand service.

Video Editor

Video editing is one of the best small business ideas as more and more businesses, entrepreneurs, and influencers need help editing their video content.

If you have experience with video editing software like Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere, you can offer your services to create compelling videos for businesses or even create wedding highlight reels.

This may require some initial investment in equipment, but you can easily make your money after a few clients.

Best Offline Business Ideas

Let's move on to offline business ideas, as there are still plenty of opportunities to start a successful and profitable brick-and-mortar business.

Open A Barbershop

Cutting hair can be the best business to open in 2023 for many reasons, the foremost being that everyone needs a haircut. You can grow your client base through digital marketing strategies or word of mouth.

I have been cutting hair for quite some time now, and I can tell you that I still have repeat clients from many years ago.

And don't worry, you won't need to be afraid of losing your barbering career from AI or machines since cutting hair takes much more skill.

Coffee Shop

Starting a coffee shop business may not be the original idea, but it is still a profitable one. If you walk outside your local main street, you'll likely stumble upon at least one coffee shop.

But with creativity and an understanding of your target audience, you can set yourself apart from all the other cafes. Offer unique drinks or host events, such as live music or poetry readings to attract customers. And don't forget about turning it into a mobile coffee shop by offering catering services.

Food Truck

Starting a food truck business idea can be a great way to serve up delicious dishes without the overhead cost of a brick-and-mortar restaurant.

You have the freedom to move around and serve at different events or locations, allowing for more opportunities to gain customers. Plus, it's a fun and unique way to run a food business. Make sure you have all the necessary permits and licenses before starting.

Real estate is a huge opportunity for those looking to make a large investment. And with the rising housing market, it can be a profitable industry to break into as well.

You can become a real estate agent or broker specializing in property management, flipping houses, or even consulting services. Of course, this may require some initial investment and education in the industry, and let's discuss the perfect business idea categories:

Property Manager

As a property manager, you can offer services to individuals or businesses looking to rent their properties. This may include collecting rent, handling maintenance and repair issues, and finding new tenants.

This business idea requires some initial investment in software and education but can be a steady source of income with the right marketing and clients.

Are you good with handyman services and some capital to invest in renovation projects? Then consider flipping houses as a business idea.

Buy undervalued properties, fix them up, and then sell for a profit. This takes some time and effort but can be a lucrative business venture in the long run.

Wholesaler

Don't have handyman experience or capital, then consider becoming a wholesaler in the real estate industry. As a wholesaler, you will find undervalued properties and then sell the contract to another investor or rehabber who will actually complete the renovation project. This can be a great way to make real estate money without owning any property.

Real Estate Agent

The perfect small business idea for many, becoming a real estate agent can offer a stable career with plenty of growth opportunities. As an agent, you will assist individuals and businesses in buying, selling, or renting properties.

This may include showing properties, negotiating deals, and managing the paperwork and details of the transaction. It's important to have excellent communication skills and be knowledgeable about the real estate market in your area.

But with some education and training, this can be a successful business idea for those willing to do the work.

Dog Walking

Starting a dog walking business may not sound like a lucrative business idea, but it can be surprisingly profitable. And it's a great option for those who love being around animals and don't mind getting some exercise.

So if you are a pet lover, why not be your own boss and spend time with your furry friends?

Landscaping

Starting a landscaping business can be a great option for those with a knack for gardening and yard work. You can offer your services to residential and commercial clients, helping them maintain their lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces.

I know many people who work for themselves and are proud small business owners in the landscaping industry. And with some education and training, it can be a profitable business idea with low startup costs.

Handyman

Handyman services are always in demand, making it a great small business idea. Whether you have experience in home improvement or are willing to take some classes, offer your services to individuals and businesses in your area.

This can include fixing leaky faucets, painting, installing shelves, or even larger projects like remodeling a bathroom or kitchen.

It's important to either shadow someone or work under a different handyman before starting your own business, as well as having the right licenses and insurance. But with some experience and marketing, this can be a successful small business idea.

Cleaning Service

Having a cleaning business is definitely one of the successful small business ideas for many. Whether you offer residential or commercial cleaning services, there will always be a demand for your services.

Start by investing in the necessary equipment and marketing to potential clients. You may even consider offering eco-friendly or specialized cleaning services to stand out from the competition.

You can even manage a food truck business with catering services on the side for added income.

Accounting

Doing personal and business finances for other successful small businesses can be a profitable business idea.

Consider offering your services to friends, family, or even local businesses. This is a much-needed skill as businesses need help with their billing and taxes.

Be sure to have a background in accounting or finance and the necessary certifications and licenses. And don't forget to continue your education as new tax laws and regulations come into play to stay ahead of the game for your clients.

Car wash

While starting a car wash business isn't the best option, it can still be a great business idea with enough capital and location.

You can offer both exterior and interior car washing and detailing services to clients and package deals for a more lucrative business.

You can also succeed with mobile car wash services, traveling to different areas, or even offering your services at businesses or events.

ATMs

The ATM business can be a profitable and low-maintenance small business idea.

You can partner with local businesses to have an ATM on their premises, receiving a portion of the profits from each transaction.

Before getting started, research the fees and costs associated with installing and maintaining ATMs. And don't forget about working with wholesaler ATM providers and the necessary insurance for your business.

Personal Trainer

Have you ever wanted to personal training business? This can be a great small business idea, especially if you have experience and qualifications in fitness and exercise.

You can offer your services to individuals or even partner with local gyms to offer group classes or personal training sessions.

I have friends who make a good living doing private coaching or even online personal training.

Event Planning

You can start a small business with event planning by offering your services for smaller events like birthday parties and baby showers before branching out to larger events like weddings or corporate functions.

Having strong attention to detail and networking skills is good, as you'll need to coordinate with vendors, venues, and clients.

You may also consider specializing in certain events, such as weddings or business events, to set yourself apart from the competition.

Notary Loan Signing Agent

an excellent small business idea is becoming a notary loaning agent. This is especially a great side hustle for those already working in finance or real estate, as you can offer your services to clients during off hours.

What Makes A Good Business Idea?

Whether a small business idea or a considerable startup idea doesn't matter. What's important is that it meets a need in the market and can bring in profits.

What Makes A Good Business Idea?

What makes a good business idea is factored into these main topics:

  • Solving a problem: Whether it's a personal or societal issue, your business should offer solutions to the struggles people are facing.
  • Allowing for growth and scalability: Can your business expand and adapt as the market changes?
  • A target market and customer base: Who will buy your product or service, and how will you reach them?
  • Competitive edge: What sets your business apart from others offering similar products or services?
  • Automation: Can you outsource or automate certain parts of your new business?

Once you've answered these questions, you should understand what makes a business worth starting.

Is Starting A Business Worth It?

Starting a small business can be a lot of work and require significant time and effort. But for many, the rewards are worth it.

It doesn't matter if you have your own ice cream shop or unicorn startup ideas. As long as you are passionate about your business and willing to work, starting a small business can be fulfilling and completely worth it.

My Experience Going From Business Idea To Full-Time Business Owner

I'm grateful to say that I experienced this firsthand. My business idea came from my love of reading and wanting to share that joy with others. So, I started a blog and created content for two years online before taking the plunge and turning it into a full-time business.

It took hard work, dedication, and lots of late nights. But now, I can pursue my passion daily and make a living doing what I love. And that, for me, makes it all worth it.

I now work for Adam Enfroy's blog growth engine and work with SEO projects.
